As the Art Director leading our AOR partnership with Peacock, I tackled the challenging task of re-engaging longtime fans of the ted movies, whose social channels had been inactive for over eight years, while simultaneously attracting new audiences on both the @peacock handle and ted’s own social platforms.
By crafting in-world content that authentically captured ted’s voice on his handles (@whattedsaid and @whattedsaw) and seamlessly integrating that voice into Peacock’s broader ecosystem and ongoing conversations, I shaped a fresh and dynamic social presence that brought ted back to life in a truly exciting way.
On social, through our colorful, fuzzy, and dynamic creative, we successfully captured the essence of the series, ted in the 90s, and of what has become one of Peacock’ most watched series yet.
For a series of social videos, 3d rendered text was used to highlight Ted’s most outrageous quotes. The typography features bold, dynamic typography with a fuzzy twist, juxtaposing cute and huggable type with raunchy and sparsely censored quotes.
